Charles Leclerc entered Formula 1 in 2018 with Sauber after winning the GP3 Series in 2016 and the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2017. His impressive rookie season earned him a promotion to Ferrari in 2019, making him the team’s youngest race driver in decades.

Born in Monte Carlo in 1997, Leclerc began karting at a young age, mentored early in his career by the late Jules Bianchi. He progressed quickly through the junior categories, earning a reputation for speed, precision, and calm under pressure.

In his first year with Ferrari, Leclerc claimed back-to-back wins in Belgium and Italy, outscoring teammate Sebastian Vettel and becoming a fan favourite. He has since taken multiple pole positions and podiums, building a reputation as one of the fastest qualifiers on the grid.

By 2025, Leclerc remained Ferrari’s lead driver, chasing his first world title and aiming to convert his raw pace into consistent championship contention.
