  • A bit of history

Since entering the sport in 1966 under the guidance and restless endeavour of eponymous founder Bruce, McLaren's success has been nothing short of breathtaking. Five glittering decades have yielded countless victories, pole positions and podiums, not to mention eight constructors' championships. What's more, some of the sport's greatest drivers made their names with the team, including Emerson Fittipaldi, Ayrton Senna, Mika Hakkinen and Lewis Hamilton...

    2024 Season
Drivers: Lando Norris & Oscar Piastri

A landmark season. McLaren clinch their ninth Constructors’ Championship — their first since 1998 — following a consistently competitive campaign. Norris takes a breakthrough win in Miami, and Piastri follows with victories including Hungary. Together, the duo racks up six wins and 21 podiums, fending off strong challenges from Ferrari and Red Bull. The MCL38 proves fast across track types, and team strategy delivers under pressure. Norris seals the Drivers’ Championship in the Abu Dhabi finale, capping McLaren’s greatest season in decades.

    2023 Season
Drivers: Lando Norris & Oscar Piastri

After a slow start, become regular podium contenders, with Lando Norris and impressive rookie team mate Oscar Piastri scoring nine rostrums between them. The result is a rise to fourth overall in the constructors’ championship.

    2022 Season
Drivers: Lando Norris & Daniel Ricciardo

Drop to P5 in the standings behind Alpine, with Lando Norris scoring their sole podium at Imola – and 122 of their 159 points. Daniel Ricciardo fails to get to grips with the Mercedes-powered MCL36 and departs the team at the end of season.
