Lando Norris joined Formula 1 with McLaren in 2019 after finishing runner-up in the 2018 Formula 2 Championship. Known for his speed and sharp racecraft, he quickly became a fan favourite thanks to his humour, social media presence, and openness about mental health.

Born in Bristol in 1999 to a British father and Belgian mother, Norris started karting at age 7 and went on to win multiple national and international titles. He progressed through Formula 4, Formula 3, and Formula 2 with standout performances, including the 2017 European F3 runner-up spot.

Norris secured his first F1 podium at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix and steadily became McLaren’s lead driver. In 2024, he claimed his first Grand Prix win at the Miami GP, following it up with more podiums to help McLaren fight at the front.

Now contracted with McLaren through 2027, Norris is chasing his first world title, combining natural speed with growing experience in wheel-to-wheel battles.
