  • A bit of history

Founded in 1977 by Sir Frank Williams and Patrick Head, Williams Racing became one of Formula 1’s most decorated and respected teams. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the team dominated the sport, securing 9 constructors' championships and 7 drivers' titles, with legends like Alan Jones, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, and Damon Hill behind the wheel.

Known for its pioneering engineering and fierce independence, Williams was once the gold standard in F1 innovation. Though the team has faced a steep decline in recent years, its heritage, resilience, and loyal fanbase continue to make it a revered name on the grid.

    2024 Season
Drivers: Alex Albon & Logan Sargeant

A year of cautious optimism. Alex Albon continues to shine, consistently outqualifying the car and dragging it into points contention, while Sargeant faces pressure to match his teammate’s consistency. The team introduces small but effective upgrades, maintaining their upward trajectory and occasionally threatening midfield rivals. Williams targets Q3 appearances and points finishes more regularly than in previous seasons.

    2023 Season
Drivers: Alex Albon & Logan Sargeant

Williams show real progress under new leadership and technical restructuring. Albon delivers standout drives in Canada, Zandvoort, and Monza, finishing the season with 27 of the team’s 28 points. Rookie Logan Sargeant struggles to find consistency but gains valuable experience. The team finishes P7 in the constructors’ championship, their best result since 2017 — a genuine return to competitiveness.

    2022 Season
Drivers: Nicholas Latifi, Alex Albon & Nyck de Vries

A development year with flashes of brilliance. Albon impresses in his first season with the team, often outperforming the car's potential. De Vries scores points on debut in Monza subbing for Albon, giving the team one of its season highlights. Despite finishing last in the standings (P10), Williams begin laying the groundwork for recovery through better management and talent scouting.
